Happy Two Month Anniversary to Me!

Two months ago I began blogging in earnest, wondering, hoping and praying that people will read my blog.  Now I have "followers," positive comments and a readership across the United States and Europe.  For some reason, I get a lot of hits from Russia.  Maybe they are voracious history buffs, or perhaps winter is setting in and reading blogs is a favorite pastime.  Whatever it is, keep reading.  Below is a list of my favorite posts thus far.
